Wanweird - blandiloquence for the crime capital of Essex

Here follows  a list of every community in Essex, as identified by Essex Police. These have been ordered by the number of crimes reported in January 2018 (the latest figures available).


My claim to represent the most crime-ridden part of Essex is still true - Southend Central covers Kursaal, Milton and Victoria wards. Southend Central has more than twice the number of crimes of the second-placed community - perhaps not worthy of a boast.


It is a great place to live (and yes, I live here) as well as wondrous to represent. However, if ever a place feels the loss of 700 police officers in this county, it is in the centre of Southend-on-Sea.
