November and December 2016 were mixed months electorally for Labour, continuing a familiar pattern for them.

The movement in vote percentages in quite telling; I have marked the improvements in bold red. These number less than those showing a decline of the Labour vote. Labour is not heading for a 2020 victory based on these results, but neither is it facing wipe-out. It certainly looks like every vote has to be fought for.

Despite our hugely increased membership there were still six contests with no Labour presence, which is a constant source of annoyance for me.
