Laying slabs; the road to perdition is paved with good intentions

Sometimes it rains, sometimes it's sunny; the weather is changeable, and sometimes voters' intentions are likewise.  Residents' moods  can be unpredictable, but it is my job to deliver Southend Labour's  message. Regardless of voter, the message remains the same; Labour delivers for Southend, for Milton, for you.

A consistent message is a sign of integrity. One cannot be all things to all people, and to pretend otherwise is not only dishonest, but is a short step from political disaster.

Some will say anything in the pursuit of a vote. Those with true convictions prefer integrity, even if this risks losing support.

I believe that voters value honesty.
