Celebrating Leigh together

Cllr Carole Mulroney

'Tis the season of elections.

We have the County Council elections on 4th May.  We have the General Election on 8th June. We have the Shoeburyness by-election on 25th May.

To add to this is this week's Leigh Town Council by-election. There is a vacancy in Leigh Road ward, and three candidates are in the contest.

Rosemary Stella Arscott - no description (but mother of a Conservative borough councillor)
Anita Maria Forde - no description
Colin Ritchie - Independent

Yesterday I went to the Leigh Community Centre to see what Celebrate Leigh Together was all about. Invited by the Chair of Leigh Town Council, Cllr Carole Mulroney, I had many interesting discussions.
