The Britannia - rule Britannia, another pub under threat of demolition

The Britannia public house dates from the early nineteenth century, and whilst a long way from being the oldest building in Southend-on0-Sea, it is amongst the oldest pubs in central Southend.

It is a good example of heritage architecture, and is locally listed. It should be preserved.

Enjoy these photographs (taken this morning).
