On Thursday I listened to Richard Angell address the Socialist Minds meeting. He was an interesting and thought provoking speaker.
This afternoon it was the unbound joy of Southend West's CLP meeting. 21 attendees at the Westcliff Royal British Legion. Southend West's meetings of late have been getting longer and longer - mercifully this one clocked in at just over two hours. I am still unconvinced by Saturday afternoon meetings, surely we should be speaking to residents rather than ourselves at the weekends.
A council report was given (by me, amongst others). There was a discussion regarding target seats and strategy. The Regional Conference also came up.
