The two-horse race that is Milton ward

Milton ward 2002 - 2015

The chart here shows the votes each party has attracted in the local council elections in Milton ward in every election since 2002. It only shows parties where they have stood in successive elections as it is intended to illustrate trends.

It vividly demonstrates what a two-horse race Milton ward is.

Laying slabs; the road to perdition is paved with good intentions

Sometimes it rains, sometimes it's sunny; the weather is changeable, and sometimes voters' intentions are likewise.  Residents' moods  can be unpredictable, but it is my job to deliver Southend Labour's  message. Regardless of voter, the message remains the same; Labour delivers for Southend, for Milton, for you.

A consistent message is a sign of integrity. One cannot be all things to all people, and to pretend otherwise is not only dishonest, but is a short step from political disaster.

Some will say anything in the pursuit of a vote. Those with true convictions prefer integrity, even if this risks losing support.

I believe that voters value honesty.
